With Send to Site you update your website by sending an email. Describe the change in plain words, check the preview link we send back, and tap Publish. Updates are part of the monthly plan (R1 500 a month for the first 6 months, then R750 a month), with no limit and no hourly billing, and nothing goes live until you approve it.
What you can change by email
Anything you would ask a web person to do on the pages you already have. A few real examples:

How to write a change that is right first time
You do not need special words. These four habits get the preview right on the first try.
- Name the page. "On the About page" or paste the link.
- Give the exact words. Paste the new text rather than describing it.
- Attach the file. The photo, PDF or logo you want used.
- One change per email. Add to an open change by replying to it.

What an email cannot change
A few things are left out on purpose, to keep your site fast and your accounts safe.
- Adding tracking scripts, chat widgets or other third-party code
- Deleting a whole page (ask and a person will help)
- Your domain, email, social media, payments or bookings
- A completely new design for the whole site

Questions about website updates
How much does it cost to have a website updated?
Published South African rates run from about R500 an hour for once-off changes to monthly plans of roughly R400 to R2 500 for 1 to 20 hours. With Send to Site, changes are part of the monthly plan (R1 500 a month for the first 6 months, then R750 a month), with no limit and no hourly billing.
What counts as a change, and is there a limit?
A change is anything you would ask a web person to do on your existing pages: text, prices, hours, photos, a new section or a new page. There is no limit on the number of changes, and nothing is billed by the hour. One change is worked on at a time, so send the next one when the last is published, or reply to the open one to add to it.
Can I still edit the website myself?
Not through a login, because there is none, and that is part of why the site is fast and hard to break into. You email the change instead, from any device, and approve the preview. Tell us which email addresses may send changes, and anyone on your team can do it.
Can my staff send changes?
Yes. Tell us which email addresses may send changes for your website. Each request is checked to be really from that address, so a forged email cannot change your site, and every preview goes back to the person who asked.
Can I write my request in Afrikaans?
Yes. Requests in Afrikaans are understood and built. Our replies are in English for now.
How long does a website change take?
A small text change usually reaches your inbox as a preview within a few minutes; on our pilot site one went from email to live in 3 min 57 s. Changes to the layout or the site-wide styling take longer, sometimes more than ten minutes. The acknowledgement arrives within a minute either way.
Can I undo a change after it is live?
Yes. Reply to the email about that change and ask for it to be undone. Every change is stored in version history, so the undo restores exactly what was there before, and you get a preview of it like any other change.
